A reason to be happy…

I look around and see the polluted mind deteriorating every bit of love and essence of life. Are we living in the age of wisdom or in the age of mere technology?  The mind works nothing more like a pseudo code that is designed to achieve high end fantasized destiny of the self-obsessed mind.

I am a twenty first century creature, educated to bring about the positive energy that my limited horizon can foresee. Think and reflect on the point that you are among the chosen one’s who are educated and made to bring about that huge change. Why is there so much disparity, despair, sorrow and pain around you, when there is no reason to be sad about. You are bestowed with knowledge to find happiness, to find solutions, to find yourself.

Pray to thy Lord and say out loud how much grateful you are. You are granted with the gift of being called among the “educated” and yet you walk with a frown and a grim feel all over you.

Don’t wait for things to cheer you up, rather create things that grow happiness right under your feet.

You are among the chosen ones, then be it and prove it 🙂

AD-Fest 2011……Unleash Your Creativity!!!

After the success of YLES 2011, TIES once again took it away 😀

The caterpillar does all the work but the butterfly gets all the publicity- George Carlin

Textile Institute Entrepreneurial Society brought together 11 teams to show their advertisement making skills on the podium of TIP on 11th May 2011. With an anticipated audience and an honorable jury panel, the event showcased advertisements on a variety of consumer products such as Milo, Ufone, Iodex, Elfy, Chilli Milli, Bata and much more.

With our jury member: Mr. Fariq Mukhtar
(Head of Marketing Department),

Mr. Javed Mehmood ( Assistant Professor for Accounting Courses) and

our beloved TEXPERT and an entrepreneur herself Sidrah Nadeem ( Owner of All Tied Up).

The event was sure a hassle but yet an amazingly enjoyable one as well, where participants got a chance to show how well they could communicate their message in just one minute and how effective it could turn out to be. We also learned that your medium and discourse of anything in life determines the value of the entity that you are propose will stand out above all.

Congratulations to all the winners and a very hearty thanks to all the participating teams and of course the jury members. We truly appreciate your effort in making these ads in this hectic routine of thesis, dissertations and course work. It sure shows how vigilant and proactive you all could be, that show a high spirit among my fellow TIPains, who put in a lot of love, care, dedication, will power and hope in whatsoever they do 🙂 proud of my TIPains and my beloved TIP.

What a Nation WE are?!!

Article Written by : Muneeb Ur Rehman TDT3

The concept of separation in the subcontinent was brought by Sir Syed Ahmed Khan on the basis of the “two nation theory” that Muslims and Hindus are two separate nations by every definition. This gave the core defined concept and logic to the Muslims of the subcontinent, on the basis of which Iqbal dreamed and Jinnah later fought and we became Pakistan with the meaning of La Ilaha Ilalah.

The existence of Pakistan laid the foundation of hatred, India as our enemy and we as theirs. Today, Pakistan is in its 64th year of independence without Kashmir being the part of it, and it is the node that has maintained the frequency of hatred and emotional enmity between the two nations. But let’s just analyze what we have come about over these years. In 2007, our media provoked the case of Makhtara Mai and created a dreadful image of our society and the rights of women in Islam. In 2009, our American Aided NGO’s exaggerated the cosmetic scene created by Taliban in SWAT agency of beating up a woman and declaring it as a punishment according to the laws of Islam. But we didn’t even realized that our 70,000 Kashmiri brothers and sisters have been martyred by the barbarous Indian Army, thousands of our sisters have been raped but we have no feelings towards to this Indian attitude, all our concern is for the INDIA-PAKISTAN SEMIFINAL!!! What a nation we are!! Continue reading “What a Nation WE are?!!”
