Finally..they have learnt the idea!
Students and faculty members had been criticizing TIP’s higher authorities for not marketing our institute the way it should be. Finally, they have learnt and they came up with a colorful advertisement with a slight touch of glamour. Those who have missed today’s DAWN (14 Dec, 2008), Quack! provides you with the latest update…
Your comments are most welcome about this “great” thought and idea!

Kick, Start Yourself!
Someone has greatly said that life is all about motivation. Life is all about how positive and optimistic are you about different aspects of your life. Textile Institute Students Forum, keeping in mind the past tragic events, arranged a motivational session on 8th October 2008 in TISF slot. The session was headed by Akbar Senior Motani from NAVITUS (a leading corporate assistance and motivational organization).
Mr. Akbar started the session by asking the definition of success. After collecting different views from students, he coined his own definition Read the rest of this entry »

The Super Thug
By Saad Saleem, TS1
Every campus has to have one of these. Raised in Jersey City, Edison or any Indian populated city in
America, these guys do their best to replicate the style of a black man. Don’t get me wrong, every brown man wishes he had certain characteristics of a black man. OK that’s a wrong statement. Every brown man wishes he had one characteristic - a black man’s certain possession; everything else regarding a black man he doesn’t give a shit about. For black men, life is a big trade off. You’re blessed with big things but you also got the po-po’s on your bum. Getting back to our point, there are way too many desi guys acting like thugs.
It’s simple to identify super thugs: Read the rest of this entry »

5 things I wished I had done when I was in TIP
Here’s something interesting an idle mind came up with. WHAT ARE THE 5 THINGS YOU WISH YOU COULD HAVE DONE WHILE YOU WERE IN TIP.
Here I’ll go First:
- Gotten the Magazine out on TIME :S
- Worked Harder on My THESIS
- Wish I could have gotten along better with My Hostel Mates (Ancient History)
- Not Mess Up at the Inter-University Debate
(VERY ANCIENT HISTORY) - Make that play on TIP I had been planning for the past 2 years

Bryan Adams: ham dono key sath bohat bora howa hay.. chalo music societ ka boycott karain!!
shanker: kyon?
bryan Adams: yar sarim Neh hum dono ko battle of the bands key vocalist key liye select nahi kiya.
Mr Adams, this is TIMF , not TISF. the name resembles but there is no room for dirty politics here.

Keachar Feature IV – Industrial Sludge Makes Keachar Couture
Ahhh it feels good to be back after D!’s D!sgraceful D!ownfall and a prolonged voluntary sabbatical!
A job hunt can sometimes be quite a dirty experience. Who might have ever though that even the oooh so sacred textile and fashion industry is full of gossip-able idiots as well! It just doesn’t stop getting better does it?
The first handful of them came along right after I graduated back in June. I was called in for an interview at the well-renowned [Ed: Company name removed]. Now for those of you who don’t know this, a designer whenever called for an interview is supposed to take along with him or herself one’s portfolio. Of course if you’re a guy it is a must because that’s the only way the saiths of our textile industry would actually consider hiring you! For the women, the criteria differ. I being smart and tech-savvy, I took visuals of my work in a flash drive rather than carrying the entire pile of workload that weighed more than a dead cow. Read the rest of this entry »

Hear Ye, Here Ye Cretins…
For those of you who have graduated recently here’s some more salt to your wounds…
Effective 10th November Comments and Cartoons of the Graduating Class 2007 will not be entertained.
Shocked? Don’t be, you didn’t submit anything to the magazine so i really won’t bother going into the specifics! Now nobody will know that you graduated this year except your Mom and Dad and maybe a brother or sister if you’re close to them….
The following Graduated Classes have NOT sent me their Comments and Cartoons, so no dice for you…
- Apparel Marketing and Manufacturing (AMM)
- Textile Marketing and Management (TMM)
So Last Call to Board the Train or Be Left Behind, No Second Call for Losers; Have too many Passengers on the Train anyhow!
