Hello all,
Since Talking Textures is a Students magazine and I think (hope) most of the readers do include students, so without further ado here are some of the features I hope you students will contribute to:
1) The Dhaaba’s near Tip
Need some people to share their best moments at the Dhaba’s with pics and comments.
2) TIP Geographic
Pictures of Natural beauty around the campus (I don’t mean Girls!! I mean Insects, flowers and stuff!!) 
3) Hostel Life
Share your hostel stories! What you did, what others did, what others made you do 
It’s all good! Pictures would be nice!
3) Funny Stories
Give us a real or really funny made up story and we’ll make it into a cartoon or a comic strip!

Er..Ali, may I suggest that you remove point#3, regarding Hostel Life, because it might get monotonous; especially since Arsalan’s magazine’s cover story is ‘Dorm Diaries’.
The magazine appears one a year. What monotony!?!
Yes but it’d be nice to have diversity in topics rather than having the same thing year after year.
Well that the thing I want to do it as a features, the hostelites are always complaining that they’re left out on things!
This is a good way to let them know that we C.A.R.E

and besides, what’s with the hostelites wanting so desperately to be separately *glorified* ?? I mean, why? How different are they from day scholars and how differently should they be treated from the day scholars? Should it even be a matter of great importance where the students choose to live after university hours? Fine dorm diaries covered, okay, the end. If a person staying at the dorms has something interesting to write for th magazine, regarding hostel life, or anything under the sun for that matter, should write and contribute the way everything else gets done.

This is just a platform just to get their attention!
you are making them look like a separate entity by providing them another platform while the original platform which is there for all still exists and is accessible to all!

Arsalan its about time you bravely admit along with Ali Hakeen that you cant bring the magazine out – what good is a talking texture 2oo5 in the year 07-08 (provided that it comes out then).. isnt it a shame for all of us because of you not able to manage the matters properly after all it was your JOB…camplaining about a separate cafetaria , making comments on people , ok but only if you , yourself had done something to prove your abilities…..i see you have the quake also all to yourself now , enjoy . wish you all the best .. and please dont claim and offer what you cant deliver..

Without taking sides, let me tell all of you, that we don’t take the words of people who lack the basic human courage and decency to disclose their identity when accusing others, any ‘seriously’. They don’t exist. How can someone without an identity exist?

Criticism should be constructive, as a first and if you are truly interested in the well being of our University and it’s publications. You should be doing the following:
a) To personally email or call me and find out what’s been happening and why have there been delays.
b) Come up with suitable suggestions, since you say you have already graduated, you can play a pivoted role in helping us with the lack of proper funds for the magazine.
c) Talk to other Texperts of the non existent TIAF and send your proposals or your original publishable material to us.
d) Coordinate with the faculty and tell us what the industry needs from us students and what kind of material they need from us?
So we might work on that instead of just saying we like commenting about this and that! What else can we do since the industry is NOT interested in telling us what they WANT?!
Please, if you wish your comments to be taken seriously and wish to implement change, let me know what’s in your mind. Maybe our objectives are the same?!

what going on….. if poeple think hostle people are unique tahts why every time, at every occasion and at every okace they are uniquely discussing and are disussing……. this stamms on every thing whch cant be errases……… afterall we are Hostleise and are unique one….

You need more topics ali, most of these sections are already explored, get your team togther and brainstorm a little…. something a bit interesting. break away from the norm.
And ARSALAN, when is your magazine coming out? i think its more than high time, its a whole year late now…. please do something.
This is a small part of what I had planned, since we already lack LEGIBLE writers I thought I would be prudent to give easier topics to write on.
If you have any suggestions, please do write them down I’m sure that you have some great ideas!
By the way, Farid Ahmad Vavda’s Check got cleared hopefully the magazine will go into Print soon….
So no worries there, just remember to write on a little something if you can…..
