Someone has greatly said that life is all about motivation. Life is all about how positive and optimistic are you about different aspects of your life. Textile Institute Students Forum, keeping in mind the past tragic events, arranged a motivational session on 8th October 2008 in TISF slot. The session was headed by Akbar Senior Motani from NAVITUS (a leading corporate assistance and motivational organization).
Mr. Akbar started the session by asking the definition of success. After collecting different views from students, he coined his own definition according to which “Success is all about leading your life with great responsibilityâ€. However, leading is “be the first†and responsibility is “ability to respond at different timesâ€. He further emphasized the concept by saying that it is not about winning or loosing, it is all about how high you bounce back. He gave the example of Mr. HONDA and told his story that how his factory was bombed twice and how he kept himself motivated towards his ambition and how he became the founder of motor cycle.
On a critical and serious discussion stage, he delivered few condolence words for our beloved friend; Mairaj. He further said that we all have to go where we have come from and we need to get back to our life. He said that we have to see the positive side of things as Mairaj in either way has been saved from sins and dirty things of the world. He must be in eternal piece and the maximum we can do is to pray for him. We were also being motivated and wished good luck for our upcoming hourlies.
On the question of one student, Mr. Akbar answered that he did not believe in luck and that he was a strict believer of our perception about things. An example of balancing a pencil on our finger tip was also given in which he asked us to balance a pencil on our finger tip by looking closely at the finger and we were not able to do it. Then he asked us to balance the pencil by looking broadly at it and we did it amazingly. He said that we usually, get stuck into a situation rather than looking broadly at it. We put obligations on ourselves that we cannot do this, we cannot do that but in the real sense all those things are possible which can be visualized. In the end, he was awarded a TIP tie by Mr. Ali Hafeez on behalf of TIP. Mr. Ali Hafeez thanked all the students and faculty members who became a part of this session at this critical point of time and also for behaving such decently in front of the speaker.
