Welcome to the world of TIP

Could you imagine the time you first come across with textiles? The day you were born may be? Have you ever thought of traveling from your Ghar to Ghagar daily some 48 kilometers off the city to learn about the color, design and manufacturing process of the clothes you are wearing precisely at this moment? Or do you think you have such an extraordinary ambition for research and development which you are going to utilize? Whatever the case it may be however don’t tell me you were thinking of coming TIP form your early childhood.

So here you are getting prepared for attending the orientation week in TIP. The things you will be required to do (like wasting your time in best possible manner) in TIP but also in the first week are not need to be addressed at all, since you will be having an excellent idea just in a week or two. Does someone say ragging? Don’t take me wrong of playing with your emotions but its good to have some enthralling and challenging experiences in life. Isn’t it?

The rule of the game is simple that is you can kill anyone with your confidence. Furthermore the friends and contacts you will make in the first week will mainly determine what you are going to do next four years. Besides it will be your asset not only in TIP but in your life.

Life in TIP is something can be best described as `profound opportunity to show who you really are` and trust me you will be given enough time to prove yourself a fool. Anyway don’t worry about studies. And why do we? Though studies are not really hard in TIP rather a fun and continuous learning but surely it’s not the thing we were here on planet. Don’t you think so?

Further there is whole lot of extracurricular activities in TIP. There are clubs and societies as diverse as you could imagine. Ranging form the debates to publication, music to books, Qur’an society to student independent paper to campus improvement committee and lot more. As we are living in this so-called age of absolute freedom so you are. It is also because they claim TIP as Pakistan’s most democratic institution yes you heard `most democratic`.

Before I finish I will suggest you to come here with an open spirit. Have your own aims and objectives. Last but not least TIP can be your daydream if and only if you are interested. So I welcome you to the world of TIP (surely it doesn’t sound like welcoming you to the Harry’s world of magic because it isn’t like that). Please feel free to ask if you have any queries. You are more than welcome.

how much money should i bring on first day and what are the ten things one need to bring on the first day.

  2. do you think you have such an extraordinary ambition for research and development which you are going to utilize?

But..but..they don’t carry out an inch of research work around here, at TIP..i swear to God, Kamran bahiiiii…heck they don’t even have fiber samples at the labs..They don’t even have china dishes…what are u talking about!! :(:(:(

Don’t take me wrong of playing with your emotions but its good to have some enthralling and challenging experiences in life.

Yes, only if being a casrati is one of ur career options. Jokes aside, but yeah, only if u like getting ur genitals mutilated, and urself humiliated in the most perverted manner.

The rule of the game is simple that is you can kill anyone with your confidence.

Yes yes! Don’t wait for them to tell u to. Be confident, save their time and urs, take ur shirt off without wasting ur own time, or theirs, and start dancing to the rythm of nach meri bulbul tujhe paisa miley ga or kisne yeh mujhpe hara rang daala, maardala

It’s the idea of fun for people here, so practise being lewd and indecent.

And last but not the least, DEMOCRACY?? lol, u must be kidding yourself. Bandookda says and u believe. hehehe

  3. Furthermore the friends and contacts you will make in the first week will mainly determine what you are going to do next four years.

    I disagree, I disagree, I disagree, I disagree, I disagree.

The campus improvement committee does not exist as yet. If they do, their physical existance plus efforts must have an invisibility cloak on them.

  4. hi
all freshmen, welcome to textile world (yar TIP not textileWorld magazine) …… u are lucky one to get admission i TIP….. me when come to TIP it was great time and place too… but when i left it its greatest place…. i spend my 4 years in TIP and hostle and now when i am out of it i miss it and dream when i would be again in TIP
trully TIP is great place for learning and enjoyment….but remember one thing that i learned from TIP at very first day…. “if u are good in studies then u are also good in studies and if u enjoy ur studies u can enjoy ur leasure time even more enjoyablly”

  5. Well,Mufaddal it’s quite difficult to give you an exact figure because I don’t know how much you do eat. By the way on first day you are not required by TIP and it’s totally up to you. Say 200 Rs.
About your second question, actually the orientation week and particularly first day is designed so that you get familiar with campus and surroundings. On first day there will be introductory session in the auditorium and visit to campus so you will not be required any thing. Of course you can have pen and register just for formality if you want.

  6. Yes Ali you are right about pathetic state of research and that’s the reason why I mentioned it. Secondly I personally don’t believe in raging. I think there are good ways out there to have interaction with freshmen in some fine manners. Like cordially welcome them and help and assist them (if they want) sincerely and honestly. etc That’s way I wrote this article to not only welcome you online but to help you in any way possible at campus also.

  7. Furhan I disagree with you on committee issue. Last semester we did two tasks under Camprovement committee (campus improvement committee).first was the campaign and poster about smoking (you must have seen that) and second was the series of posters in the cafeteria about the food trays and empty bottles. The placement of crates on different positions was also included. So it’s not that invisible but it surely needs some active blood like yours.

  8. like you meet anyone else. by the way i stay at hostal and my section is TS-3B,you can ask anyone at campus.

  9. hii bdy what do u think that hostel residents dont figure these out they come across such realities i dont know u come from dha, malir, cantt, tariq road, gulistan jauhar, gulshan e iqbal aur hadeed but i know there is some thing perhaps u r doing through travel as well that u r feeling some thing and letting others to feel and tell but i think like other fields it is little different but entirely,,,dont mind got its charms..any how how can i post article plz tell

  10. TIP has been my 2nd home. Every good memory of it still alive in me and would always be. My classfellows, my seniors, my juniors, my teachers, the other staff, the classes we used to take and how we used to take them, the leisure time (Everytime spent in TIP was leisure to me) The times we studied in groups and in points, every day travels in the morning and evening and tafreeh in points!!!! Unforgettable!!!! TIP gave me a lot in terms of entertainment, true friendships, trust, confidence, ability to become someone in life. I simply love those four years and i welcome all the freshmen n freshwomen 🙂 to the colorful world of TIP. To some boring freshmen, TIP’s life would seem a “jail” first few weeks but once they get used to it, it will be the life they’ll look upto and remember all the way through so come to TIP with a mindset that you will enjoy here and surely you’ll enjoy every moment of it … Thats all it!!!!!
