Well wisher, the data isnt gona be available it just checks the check boxes. In the program and you cant tell from check boxes or from coding who voted for whome. Its a fair proof idea.

i think that idea is not workable because by implementing this idea we can easily track record that which student voted to whom ... n u know what will happen after that..
secondly u r talking about saving a lot of time but in my opinion conventional way of voting has its own charm.

I will share what i have in my mind the two thoughts that can be implemented easily well it only need support from each and every individual. The idea behind is that each and every student has a particular computer id for logging at the computer lab but most of the people have their ids without password or don't usually bother to have a password. Either they all can be told to renew their logging passwords a week before or a couple of days before. During the elections timings all the people who will come in to login their ids will have only one form displayed that would be requiring their respective candidates elected.

On the other hand the software can be made available on a single computer in a room where one can come in and enter his id and then his choice of candidate from the given list. A counter will be working on in the back of the program that would be calculating and on completion of elections that is when all the students are done with their votes the computer will show the results.

The only chance of error in this is if a student is absent then some one from their class might cast a vote against him. So for that we can have a name check list available their with the election commission or know the classes attendances in advance and fed to the total number of students present that day to the computer. Thus no chances of error will be then possible. The second one is more secure as their wont be any networking of the system. But needs checks to be made.

Interesting idea. Can some research be done on the entire process and we can run a mock election on it to see whether it will be successful.

Kindly add me on the review committee for this research exercise.

Best wishes and Nice Thinking
